In Memory of Those Who
Crossed the Rainbow Bridge
This page is
dedicated to the memory of our beloved friends, whom we cherish and always will miss.

U-CDX COCOA OF CRESCENT HILL, UD, JH, WC
April 14, 1994 – May 29, 2009
We weren't ready to let you go, sweet brown girl.
We experienced so many new adventures on our journey together.
You taught us much and loved us unconditionally.
You were always happy to meet other people and dogs (cats are another story!).
Little children adored you. Although we were blessed with you for 15 years, it just doesn't seem like enough.
Rest peacefully, dear girl.
We miss you so very much but we will be together again.

Zoey
Dynasty`s Love In The Mist AM CAN
May 17, 1991 – September 14, 2007
On Friday, September 14, 2007, our beloved Zoey journeyed on to
Rainbow Bridge in the loving arms of our son. She passed in peace and with
dignity. Even though we had 16 years and 4 months with
her it is never long enough.
From the day she was born here we knew Zoey was someone special.
With a daddy who was from Finland
and whose name was Tweedledum Pop My Cork,
that alone could make you smile. Zoey had an Obedience, Acting
(she had the starring canine roles in Annie and Oliver) and most
importantly, Therapy Dog career.
Zoey
was the most powerful and profound teachers of life I have
ever seen. She had the uncanny ability to connect with
everyone. Whether it was with a Hospice patient, a blind
person or someone who feared dogs, they would always accept her
presence and make a lasting connection with her. She had an
extraordinary impact on everyone who met her.
Her whole life Zoey gave unconditionally so much more than she ever
asked for. She will always be deeply missed and loved and
forever remembered.

Loved & Missed by Beth Eckels
Looking back on the memory of
The dance we shared 'neath the stars above. For a moment all
the world was right. How could I have known that you'd ever say
goodbye.
And I'm glad I didn't know The way it all would
end, the way it all would go. Our lives are better left to chance.
I could have missed the pain But I'd have had to miss the
dance.
Holding you, I held everything. For a moment wasn't
I a king But if I'd only known how the king would fall. Hey
who's to say? You know I might have changed it all.
And I'm
glad I didn't know The way it all would end the way it all would
go. Our lives are better left to chance. I could have missed
the pain But I'd have had to miss the dance.
Yes my life,
it's better left to chance. I could have missed the pain But
I'd have had to miss the dance.

Riser
My beloved Riser, also known as Can OTCH, UKC
CDX, Plymrock's High Riser, UDX2, JH, OA, OAJ,
OJP, WC, CGC born Feb. 4, 1992, was laid to rest on July 24, 2007, at 15 ½ years of age.
Just two weeks earlier he was
doing what he loved most - retrieving bumpers in the water, leading
our pack.
Throughout his life, Riser took
me on an incredible journey. Together we did it all...from camp gone
to the dogs when he was a puppy to a show career earning high in
trial, high combined, a 199 in obedience more than once, nationally
ranked in the top 10 obedience Labradors several times, competing in
the Gaines Regionals and World Series, earning his JH and agility
titles with ease and being awarded the lab for all reasons awards at
the Nationals at age 10.
He also had many life threatening
cancers and surgeries and taught me how to
get through all of it. Riser was a very sweet,
gentle good boy who never did a bad thing
in his life and had to endure more hardships
than anyone ever should have. He was
very strong and very brave and mostly loved
me unconditionally. God rewarded him
with a wonderful quality of life in his senior
years, with no hardships in the last 5 years.
Riser loved everyone and was especially
fond of puppies and chasing snowballs in deep
snow. Riser never had any old dog issues and
was active until one evening when
I knew the time was near. I am blessed that
I got to spend all of the next day night
with him saying goodbye, it was not long enough
and I wanted more, but it was time to let
him go. Riser was my best friend, my
soul-mate and I miss him terribly. There is
a big hole in my heart but I am very lucky
to have known him and have him in my life
for so long.

Shadow
My black Lab, Shadow, (Crosscreek Shadow Berge) was laid to rest on May 22, 2007 at the age of 12.
She was my very first Lab and the start of my showing career. I purchased her after my first husband passed away with cancer.
Shadow was 8 weeks old and was born on May 9, 1995. I went to dog classes and started learning about obedience.
Never in my life did I think I would do something like that, but she brought me out of my shyness.
She was a momma's girl and never liked the out-of-sight sits and downs, but we made it through.
She received her CD and CDX in AKC and her CD and CDX in Canada. She was the best healing dog and had many first place ribbons.
We had to make a very hard decision this year as she was filling up with tumors both inside and visible on the outside.
Her hips were failing but she never quit wagging her tail. She is sadly missed by myself and Harry and by Harley, Emma, Hannah, and
Jack (our other labs). Because of her Labs are my love and my life.

Cougar

AM/CAN CH Milllmar's Windswept Patriot, CDX, CAN CD, WC, CGC
October 9, 1995 – August 26, 2006.
Little did I know that less than a day after sending my brags about Cougar,
we'd be laying him to rest at the foot of our grape arbor with the rest of the never to be forgotten Labs of our past.
Cougar was a once-in-a-lifetime dog. I was so fortunate to have been in his company. He was a class
act in everyway. I will quote what Judy Chambers said about him after he won the veteran's class at EOLBA:
"Beautiful head & movement. He is everything Labrador should be."

Sally
Sally and pup
Kellygreens Wagtail Salute went to the
Rainbow Bridge in July of 2005, after her pups left for their new
homes. MaryEllen's Leo was the sire. Sally was the sweetest girl and was a very loving Mom.
We lost her to IMHA - a very nasty disease.

Not the least hard thing to bear
when they go from us, these quiet friends,
is that they carry away with them
so many years of our own lives.
